The Mojo Scoundrels: 2008-06-14 at Scully's Tavern

The Mojo Scoundrels at Scully's Tavern.

The Mojo Scoundrels riled up Scully's Tavern on this Saturday night with steaming hot Motown, funk, classic rock and blues from the 60's and 70's. Varied and robust pro vocals were joined by strong instrumentals. The Mojo Scoundrels consist of Jorge Detuya on lead vocals and harmonica; Mae Wilder on lead vocals and percussion; Huey Samuel II on bass and vocals; Ron Dennis on keyboard and vocals; Robert Zisook on guitar and vocals; and Mike Slichter on drums and vocals. The Mojo Scoundrels have a website at http://www.myspace.com/themojoscoundrels as well as a YouTube page at http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMojoScoundrels.

Mojo Scoundrel's Jorge Detuya on lead vocals and harmonica.

Jorge Detuya gave highly polished lead vocals and was awesome on harmonica. I saw him recently at Chris Cosner's blues jam at Titanic Brewery.

Mae Wilder on lead vocals.

Previously with Outta Nowhere, newest member Mae Wilder was terrific on lead and backup vocals.

Ron Dennis on keyboard and vocals.

The highly talented Ron Dennis raised the bar with amazing keyboard playing and vocals.

Robert Zisook on guitar and vocals.

Robert Zisook sizzled on guitar and vocals with top-level style, phrasing and tone.

Huey Samuel II on bass and vocals.

Huey Samuel II is a superbly musical bassist / singer. I first heard him at Don Hyink's Blackstar Studios. By-the-way, he sings a hot lead.

Mike Slichter on drums and vocals.

Mike Slichter's flawless, infectious drumming is a solid foundation to The Mojo Scoundrels.

On this Saturday night at Scully's Tavern, The Mojo Scoundrels rocked.
