Five Ninez: 2008-07-11 at Tobacco Road

The Five Ninez at Miami's Tobacco Road.

On a summer Friday at Tobacco Road, we heard the Five Ninez (formerly Five Nines) blasting classic rock from the patio stage. Above are Matt Sebbag on bass and vocals, Kevin Orsillo on drums, Harley Basadre on lead guitar and lead vocals, and Scott "Crazy Fingers" Sanchez on keyboards.

Harley Basadre on lead guitar and vocals.

At 14, Harley Basadre easily outplays most guitarists. His mom explains that "Harley is a classical pianist, classical and jazz guitarist, plays drums (self taught), plays bass (self taught) and plays flute. He started playing classical piano at the age of 5. He's been playing the guitar since the age of 7. He won a full scholarship to University of Miami's young musician camp auditioning with Franz Litz' Hungarian Rhapsody on piano. He has perfect pitch." Harley also plays with the jazz ensemble at New World School of the Arts.

Scott "Crazy Fingers" Sanchez on keyboards.

The musical Scott Sanchez was outstanding on keyboards.

Matt Sebbag on bass and vocals.

Shining on bass, Matt Sebbag was smooth and solid.

Kevin Orsillo on drums.

A confident performer, drummer Kevin Orsillo didn't miss a beat.

Yes, these guys really sing!

Yes, their vocals were great!
