Albert Castiglia: 2008-05-24 at Titanic Brewery and Restaurant

Albert Castiglia and his blues band at Titanic Brewery and Restaurant in Coral Gables, Florida.

We expected pro quality blues from Albert Castiglia (pronounced “ka-STEEL-ya”) and he delivered. Widely known for virtuous guitar solos, he also has an exceptionally soulful voice. Albert is more than local as he has toured with the late Junior Wells, first as fill-in, then as permanent lead guitarist and vocalist, and as of this writing, for the rest of June 2008, Albert Castiglia will gig in Key West, Oakland Park, Buckingham, Sunny Isles, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, and then in July it's Ohio, New Hampshire, Maine and Minnesota. Above, on stage at Titanic Brewery and Restaurant, we see Susan Lusher on keyboards, Albert Castiglia on guitar and vocals, Bob Amsel on drums and Steve Gaskell on bass. Albert Castiglia's website is at http://www.albertcastiglia.com and there's a mySpace site at http://www.myspace.com/albertcastiglia.

Albert Castiglia's eloquent blues riffs are wrought with emotion, artistry, confidence and style.

Susan Lusher on keyboards at Titanic Brewery and Restaurant.

On keyboards, Susan Lusher plays a supportive role expertly and with gusto. When she solos, she's brilliant.

Steve Gaskell on Fender Jazz Bass at Titanic Brewery.

Steve Gaskell's emotive walking bass lines are imaginative, captivating and a solid foundation for the band.

Drummer Bob Amsel performing with Albert Castiglia at Titanic.

Bob Amsel's ingenious drumming enlivens with infectious rhythm while keeping the band tight.

Another great performance by Albert Castiglia and his band at Titanic Brewery and Restaurant.

Albert Castiglia has released three CDs: Burn, A Stone's Throw and his latest, These Are the Days, available from links at his website and elsewhere. I saw tracks from these CDs on iTunes, and I noticed some tracks for sale at Albert Castiglia's mySpace site.
